Create your own anxiety remedy and save money!

I understand that the anxiety surrounding us today can be out of control and devastating. We need to come out of this powerlessness and helplessness feeling and look for natural ways to improve our state of mind.  Simply feeling anxious is not a cause for medical concern, however, when left untreated anxiety can turn into physical imbalances becoming harmful to our immune system.

Anxiety is the inability to control things we think may hurt us. If you are constantly experiencing chest pain and palpitations, upset stomach, nausea, numbness, SOB, excessive worry and irrational fear, than you need to seek professional help.

Complementary medicine such as acupuncture, yoga, meditation, Reiki and herbal medicine are used along with conventional medicine to help lessen symptoms of anxiety. 

One simple way to spend less money on conventional treatments is to create your own anxiety home remedy. An example is aromatherapy. Scents can have a very powerful effect on our emotions and mood. Essential oils are well known for its effect on the parts of our brain that control stress, anxiety, fear, and depression. It contains aromatic molecules that are able to cross the blood/brain barrier relaxing body and mind.

To prepare an anxiety massage oil combine:

      • 50 ml of carrier oil (jojoba, sweet almond or coconut oil);
      • 8 drops of essential oils of lavender;
      • 4 drops of bergamot;
      • 4 drops of peppermint;
      • 3 drops of geranium;
      • 1 drop of clary sage.

Use a dark glass jar to prevent oxidation and store it in cool place. Massage the oil into your body in circular movement or add the oil into the palms of your hands and rub them together to spread the oil. Cup them over your nose and inhale deeply.
